first day of school

he's still in preschool (that's right, he's only 4) but this year he rode the bus. he was really excited to go on the first step. but when we told him to keep going, he took on a look of panic! then we explained that the bus would take him to see his {beloved} teacher. he turned around and went right on.

I may have felt a little bit like crying.

so, an old buddy of mine from grade school {isn't the internet amazing?!} just found me and informed me of something all my crafty friends out there won't want to miss. it's called the handmade affair and it's happening locally Sep 12(?). application info is here.

introducing...

i am joining the ranks of my fellow craftsters. i am opening an etsy shop.

it will be new baby/mama products. my goal is to open shop sep 1.

{everyone hold their breath for me!}
in the meantime, i have started a new blog to accompany the shop. i will post about new products, any cool free patterns i find, and of course, when someone is having a rocking sale.

i'll also bounce ideas off all of you and you can give me feedback, vote on what i should make next, etc.

it's just in the beginning stages, but i would be tickled if you took a peek. i'll be posting pics of what's to come until opening day.

i've seen ribbon roses before but these have been taken to a new level. this particular necklace isn't me, but it is sooo gorgeous! maybe a hair clip instead?

parker turned 4

new favorite movie?

possibly. it's sort of reminiscent of singles or arrested development for me. it's so quirky and witty and i love the great flashbacks. not to mention the awesome 80's tunage! (yes erin, i too want the soundtrack.) and i knew i liked zooey deschanel, but joseph gordan levitt? when did he grow up? his little baby face is gone leaving only his dimples. i very much enjoyed him- i mean the movie.

so go see it. :)
